Juaboso District Assembly in the western North Region of Ghana celebrated Ghana’s 66th independence anniversary in juaboso on the 6th of March, 2023.
The theme for this year’s event is “OUR UNITY, OUR STRENGTH, and OUR PURPOSE”.
Scores of people from the district and beyond thronged to the juaboso senior high school park to commemorate the Day Ghana formally gained independence from the British colonial rule on the 6th march1957,becoming the first sub-Saharan Africa country to achieve independence from the British.
The colorful ceremony saw the presence of Hon.Jojo Rocky Obeng, Regional minister, the District Chief Executive, Hon.kwabena Agjei Asente, Hon Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, MP for juaboso, the Regional police commander, the district coordinating director Mr. Emmanuel Esiape, the C.e.o.Forestry commission, Hon.Martha Kwayie Manu.
